As you may have noticed, we have increased the price on
some of our products. The pricing adjustment is
necessary due to the increasing costs of making our
high-quality, artisan breads and sweets. Some of the
areas that we have been subject to price increases are:
1. Wheat shortage
a. The world supply of wheat is at an all-time low
b. The decrease in the international value of the
dollar has
driven the cost of wheat domestically to high
levels
2. Raw materials, including flour, butter, eggs, sugar
and nuts
3. Increased freight charges that impact the cost of
shipping in raw materials
4. Energy prices that directly impact the cost of our
products
Although price increases are never popular, we have
worked to maintain that the price increase is as minimal
as possible. Please know that the decision to increase
prices has not been taken lightly; however, the
increased costs of doing business listed above
necessitate this move. By taking such actions, we can
continue to create high-quality artisan breads and
sweets that you rely on.
We appreciate everyone's support and are proud to
continue the tradition of making the finest artisan
breads and sweets available. |
